Ingredients
  

Brownie Layer:

  • ½ cup 115g unsalted butter, melted
  • ¾ cup 150g brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup 40g unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup 65g all-purpose flour
  • ¼ tsp baking powder
  • Pinch of salt

Cookie Layer:

  • ½ cup 115g softened butter
  • ½ cup 100g white sugar
  • ½ cup 100g brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • cups 160g all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¾ cup 100g chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8x8" pan with parchment paper.
  • Make the brownie batter by whisking melted butter, sugar, eggs, cocoa, and vanilla. Stir in dry ingredients.
  • Make the cookie dough by creaming butter and sugars, adding egg and vanilla, then flour and chocolate chips.
  • Spread brownie batter in the pan. Drop cookie dough on top and spread gently.
  • Bake for 25–30 minutes or until set with moist crumbs.
  • Cool completely before slicing.
