Main Layers:
- 3 cups cooked chicken breast cubed or shredded
- 1 cup sliced deli ham
- 6 slices Swiss cheese
- Creamy Dijon Sauce:
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 cups whole milk
- 2 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt plus more to taste
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Crispy Topping:
- 1 cup plain breadcrumbs or crushed Ritz crackers
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp melted butter
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
Spread the cooked chicken evenly across the bottom of the dish.
Layer the ham slices over the chicken.
Add Swiss cheese slices on top of the ham.
In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook 1 minute. Gradually add milk, whisking constantly until thickened.
Stir in Dijon mustard, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
Pour the sauce evenly over the chicken, ham, and cheese layers.
In a small bowl, mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan, and melted butter. Sprinkle evenly on top.
Bake for 30 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbling and the topping is golden brown.
