Ingredients
  

  • 2 cans 21 oz each cherry pie filling
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • ½ cup 1 stick unsalted butter, melted
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon optional
  • 1 tsp almond extract optional
  • Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for serving, optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Spread cherry pie filling evenly in the dish and mix in almond extract if using.
  • Sprinkle dry cake mix evenly over the top — no stirring.
  • Drizzle melted butter across the surface to moisten the topping.
  • Optional: Sprinkle cinnamon on top.
  • Bake for 40–45 minutes, until topping is golden and filling is bubbly.
  • Cool slightly before serving with ice cream or whipped cream.
