- 1 box yellow cake mix
- ½ cup 1 stick unsalted butter, melted
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon optional
- 1 tsp almond extract optional

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9x13-inch baking dish.
Spread cherry pie filling evenly in the dish and mix in almond extract if using.
Sprinkle dry cake mix evenly over the top — no stirring.
