Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb 450g beef (sliced or ground)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour optional
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 3/4 cup sour cream or non-dairy substitute
  • Fresh parsley optional, for garnish
  • Cooked noodles rice, or mashed potatoes for serving

Instructions
 

  • Cook the beef – Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Brown the beef and remove it from the pan once cooked through.
  • Sauté the aromatics – In the same pan, add chopped onion and cook until softened. Stir in garlic and cook briefly until fragrant.
  • Make the sauce – Sprinkle in the flour and stir. Slowly pour in the beef broth, whisking until smooth. Add paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Add creaminess – Reduce heat and stir in sour cream or your dairy-free alternative. Mix until the sauce is smooth and warmed through.
  • Finish and serve – Return the cooked beef to the pan, coat in the sauce, and let it simmer for a few minutes. Serve over noodles, rice, or mashed potatoes.
