Ingredients
  

  • 1 slice thick bread like sourdough or Texas toast
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheese cheddar, mozzarella, or blend
  • 1 teaspoon butter optional, for crispier texture
  • Pinch of salt
  • Pinch of black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  • Lightly butter one side of the bread if desired, then place it butter-side down.
  • Press the center of the bread slice to create a small "well" for the egg.
  • Crack the egg carefully into the well.
  • Sprinkle the shredded cheese around and lightly over the egg.
  • Season with a pinch of salt and black pepper.
  • Place the toast into the air fryer basket. If your air fryer blows air strongly, loosely cover the top with foil to prevent the egg from shifting.
  • Air fry for 5–7 minutes, depending on your desired egg doneness.
  • Remove carefully, serve hot, and enjoy!
