Ingredients
  

For the Dough:

  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp instant yeast
  • ¾ cup warm water adjust if needed

For the Sauce:

  • 1 cup crushed tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Toppings:

  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup sliced beef pepperoni or seasoned chicken
  • ½ bell pepper thinly sliced
  • ½ red onion sliced
  • A few black olives optional
  • Sprinkle of dried oregano and chili flakes

Instructions
 

Prepare the Dough:

  • In a large bowl, mix flour, salt, sugar, and yeast. Add warm water and olive oil, then stir to combine. Knead for 8-10 minutes until smooth. Let rise for 1 hour.

Make the Sauce:

  • Heat olive oil in a pan. Sauté garlic for 30 seconds, then stir in crushed tomatoes, oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10-15 minutes.

Preheat the Oven:

  • Preheat to 475°F (245°C). Place a pizza stone in the oven if you have one.

Shape the Dough:

  • Punch down the dough and roll it into a 14-inch circle. Place it on a pizza peel or baking tray.

Assemble the Pizza:

  • Spread sauce on the dough, add cheese, and top with your chosen ingredients.

Bake:

  • Bake for 12-15 minutes until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbling.
